Each guide compares the models sold on Amazon, using what the makers publish and what owners say about them. It names the one I'd buy, then the best picks for a smaller budget or a different game, and says who each one isn't for.

What helps a fast, repeatable swing often makes a slower one work harder, so most picks are made for a moderate swing that doesn't always find the middle of the face.

How the site makes money
